Andrew Fries begins his 3rd season as offensive coordinator and offensive line coach at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology for the upcoming 2022 season.
Fries has been part of teams that have compiled a 18-8 record over the past two years, including 17-2 against HCAC competition. The offensive unit averaged more than 41 points per game during the 2021 season, highlighted by the 2nd NCAA Division III playoff appearance in school history in 2021.
Fries came to Rose-Hulman after most recently serving as special teams coordinator and offensive line coach at Davneport (Mich.) University. He coached three all-conference players in his one season at Davenport, handled all aspects of special teams planning, and recruited much of Ohio. Davenport improved its offense by 11 points and 100 yards per game in his time with the program.
Fries previously spent over three years at Otterbein (Ohio) University, serving as offensive line coach and special teams coordinator. He coached four all-conference players and led both practices and film sessions for the offensive line and special teams. His pervious experience also includes stints at NCAA Division III Wilmington (Ohio) and NCAA Division III Lakeland (Wis.).
Fries earned a bachelor's degree in communication at Otterbein in 2009 and completed his master's degree in teaching at Otterbein in 2012. He has been an AFCA member and coached in numerous camps and clinics over the past decade.
