The GMAC crown in 2020 is the fourth conference championship in program history, and second as a member of Division II. The Dragons had also won the conference trophy in 2019 while qualifying for the NCAA Championship Super Region 1 bracket. During the 2019 campaign, Reisert led the Dragons to arguably the best season in program history. As a result, the Dragons earned their first-ever berth into the NCAA DII playoffs and came extremely close to upsetting the 2-seed in the region, Kutztown, on the road in the first round.
