Jake Riedel enters his first season with Army West Point as an assistant strength and conditioning coach.
Riedel comes to Army after spending the last seven seasons with Louisiana State University, holding the title of senior associate director of strength and conditioning for one season (2021) and assistant strength and conditioning coach (2015-20).
At LSU, he designed a strength program to train the defensive line and linebackers. He was also responsible for GPS reporting to the coaching staff and for writing all aspects of the speed and conditioning program, and FRC/mobility program. While holding the assistant role for the Tigers, he also implemented programs for swimming and diving, and track and field. During the 2021 season he also took on all roles of the director of strength and conditioning in wake of an absence.
Prior to LSU, Riedel spent time at the University of Cincinnati as an assistant strength and conditioning coach (2014) and graduate assistant (2013).
Riedel received his bachelors and masters in Science in Education from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
