Kevin Callahan

Kevin Callahan Jr. joined the Monmouth Football coaching staff in March 2019 as the Wide Receivers Coach. The 2022 season will be Callahan Jr.'s fourth at Monmouth. Callahan Jr. came to Monmouth after spending the 2018 season as the running backs coach at Lafayette. The former Amherst College defensive back also spent three seasons coaching at Columbia University in addition to coaching at his alma mater. Callahan Jr. was part of John Garrett's staff at Lafayette for the 2018 season, coaching the day to day responsibilities of the running back position while recruiting in North Jersey, New York and New England. He also executed offensive film responsibilities for the Leopards, including opponent breakdowns, opponent pressure tendencies and self-scout reports. While at Columbia he worked with the running backs, wideouts and quarterbacks, leading position meetings, film reviews and helping with installs. He was the staff liaison with Championship Analytics and had a supporting role in the Lions' recruiting efforts. While serving as the running backs coach at Amherst he recruited California, Washington, Oregon and Nevada and helped managed the Mammoths' social media efforts in addition to his coaching responsibilities.
